Man dies, three seriously injured in multi-car accident

A man died and three others were seriously injured in a multi-car accident at the intersection of Reavis Barracks Road and Union Road Sunday night.
Jose Solis-Luna, 43, of the 3800 block of French Court, St. Louis, 63116, died after he was taken to a hospital, police said.
Altogether four people in three cars were taken to the hospital after the crash, which happened about 6 p.m. Sunday in the 4000 block of Reavis Barracks.
A 19-year-old was driving westbound on Reavis Barracks Road toward Union Road after Green Park Road, when he rear-ended another car.
The rear-ended car traveled into eastbound Reavis Barracks traffic, and was struck by a car driven by Solis-Luna. He was driving eastbound on Reavis Barracks Road when he struck the second car on the driver’s side head-on, T-bone style.
Solis-Luna was the sole occupant of his car.
The 19-year-old was the lone occupant of the first car. He was transported to a local hospital and is in stable condition.
The driver of the second car, a 48-year-old woman, was transported to a local hospital for her injuries and is in extremely critical condition. Her 19-year-old female passenger was transported to a local hospital and is in stable condition.
The accident continues to be under investigation by detectives of the St. Louis County Police Department’s Bureau of Crimes Against Persons.
