The Lindbergh Schools Board of Education unanimously accepted a bid Jan. 19 for the installation of underground fiber lines, parking lot resurfacing and other improvements.

The bid was the lowest bid the district received from Byrne & Jones, with a parking lot resurfacing bid in the amount of $6,057,788 and $130,500 for electrical work.

The district received three bids in all.

The projects are part of Proposition R, a $105 million no-tax-rate increase bond measure passed by district voters in 2019 to fund the building of a new Lindbergh High School. The measure is also funding the installation secure entry vestibules at three elementary and two middle schools, as well as the relocation of three maintenance and landscape shops off the LHS campus.
