Dr. Anita and Steven Anton celebrated their 40th wedding anniversary on Feb. 22.
Mr. Anton and the former Anita Marie Gasparaovic were married Feb. 22, 1975, at St. Mary’s Church in Granite City, Ill.
Mr. Anton retired as a director for the Department of Defense, where he worked for 34 years.
Dr. Anton received her master’s degree in communication research and her doctorate degree in educational studies from St. Louis University. She taught several years as an adjunct professor in communication.
They are the parents of two: Adam Anton, 35, of St. Louis, and Ashleigh Anton, 32, of Brentwood.
The couple will celebrate with family and friends in May at their beach house in Panama City Beach, Fla.
