Detectives are currently investigating the fatal Oct. 30 striking of a pedestrian at the 7400 block of South Lindbergh Boulevard.
The deceased has since been identified as Thomas Bailey, 53, of the 100 block of Upton Street, 63111.
St. Louis County police officers from the South County Precinct responded to a call at 7:44 p.m. on Oct. 30 about a motor vehicle crash involving a pedestrian on South Lindbergh Boulevard at Lemay Ferry Road. Upon arrival, they identified the adult male, Bailey, who had been struck by a car. Bailey was transported to an area hospital for treatment, but he succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead.
The driver of the vehicle remained at the scene and has been cooperating with the investigation.
