Charles and LaVerne Sauer celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary June 22 during a reception at Andre’s on Telegraph Road.
A Mass was celebrated May 3 at their parish of 44 years, St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church.
Mr. Sauer and the former LaVerne Fiebiger were married May 2, 1953, at St. Francis De Sales Church in St. Louis by the Rev. Wencelaus Klaric.
He is retired from Union Electric, where he worked for 35 years.
They are parents of four: daughters and sons-in-law, Sue and Ron Schultheis and Lynne and Steve Clark; and sons and daughters-in-law, Tom and Joan Sauer and Dan and Sandi Sauer.
The couple have 11 grandchildren.
