America looking to federal government representatives to fund things

The people have spoken. Long live the people. They elected big-spending politician Barack Obama to be our next president.

The voters have spoken. They put the tax-and-spend Democrats firmly in control of the U.S. Senate and U.S. House. This means that America is looking to our federal government representatives to fund things.

The upside to this is that for the next four years the Metro Board of Commissioners won’t have to ask the hard-working taxpayers of St. Louis County for a tax increase for MetroLink expansion.

If Metro wants to expand MetroLink, all they have to do is ask Congress and the president for the money. I’m sure they will write Metro the check.

The downside to this is that our children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren get to pay off the resulting deficits for the rest of their lives.
