Once again, the cities of Sunset Hills and Crestwood united to present SunCrest Fest to residents and neighbors on Oct. 25. The event — which took place at Kitun Park, 12343 Eddie & Park Road — kicked off with the annual parade, where families lined the street to wave at local elected officials, cheer for student bands and cheerleading teams or nab candy from as it was thrown.
Besides the usual parade, car show, food and beverage booths and boulevard of local businesses, the 2025 SunCrest Fest boasted new attractions, too. A trunk-or-treat was held at the car show, and there was even an ice skating rink with provided skates. These new events welcomed in the Halloween spirit and winter beyond it, since SunCrest Fest this year was in October instead of the usual September date.
The inaugural SunCrest Fest took place in 2018. Because there was no festival in 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic, this year marked the fifth consecutive year that the South County community came together to celebrate.
