This summer saw several projects under construction across the Mehlville School District funded by the 2021 no-tax-rate increase $35 million bond Proposition S for “Safe Schools, Safe Kids,” including a new security entrance at Blades Elementary, above. Crews poured concrete for the new entrance the second week in August. Other Prop S projects underway this summer include the reconfiguration of the main entrance of Rogers Elementary, the demolition of an old home to make way for an expanded Oakville Elementary parking lot and a security entrance at Oakville High school.
