The JB Blast set to be held on Tuesday, July 3 was canceled and will be rescheduled at a later date.
The Blast was canceled due to rain and lightning. The grass was too wet, and there was nowhere to park people, county officials said.
South St. Louis County’s biggest 4th of July celebration was set to return to Jefferson Barracks Park for the 18th year in 2018.
This year, The South Side Johnny Band will perform across genres of music, including: pop/rock, oldies, Motown, and dance classics from the 60s to today and, in keeping with the holiday celebration, some patriotic favorites.
The JB Blast is sponsored by St. Louis County Executive Steve Stenger, the St. Louis County Police Department, St. Louis County Parks and many business partners.
