- As a part of its “2025 Spring Speaker Series,” the Sunset Hills Conservation Foundation is hosting “Pollinator Gardens and Missouri’s Native Plants with Abby Lapides” from 6:30 – 8 p.m. at the Sunset Hills Community Center, 3915 S. Lindbergh Blvd. Abby Lapides – writer, horticulturist, entrepreneur and owner of Sugar Creek Gardens since 1990 – will discuss plants that attract birds, bees and butterflies. She will help attendees select from types of plants ranging from highly fragrant to ground cover to shaded to all-day sun lovers. The 2025 Native Plant of the Year will also be discussed. This program is free and open to the public. You do not need to live in Sunset Hills to participate.
