• A Trivia Night to benefit the Oakville High School boys’ basketball team will take place at Andre’s South, 4238 Telegraph Road. Doors open at 6:30 p.m. The cost is $25 per person for tables of eight to 10. Dinner and drinks are included.
• The We Are One Community Choir under the direction of Bruce Walker will present its Christmas concert, “Somewhere It’s Snowing,” at 7 p.m. at Parkton Assembly of God, 1670 Old State Road (Highway M). Pattie Matthews is the accompanist. The Seckman Middle School Choir also will perform.
Saturday, Dec. 9
• Christ Memorial Lutheran Church, 5252 S. Lindbergh Blvd., will host a Cookie Walk featuring over 100 different kinds of cookies from 8 a.m. to noon in the gym. The cost is $9 per pound.
