Cameron Spence of Sunset Hills achieved a perfect score of 36 on the ACT and also was named a National Merit semifinalist.
He attended Truman Elementary School and Truman Middle School in Lindbergh Schools, and currently is a senior at St. Louis University High School.
National Merit semifinalists are high school seniors who show exceptional academic ability and potential for success in rigorous college studies.
Cameron’s score was in the top 1 per-cent of the over 1.6 million students na-tionwide who took the test. He will continue in the competition for the National Merit Scholarships to be announced later this year.
