Truman Middle School seventh-grader Jennie Weaver recently competed in the USA Track and Field Junior Olympic Cross Country Championship Race in San Antonio, Texas.
Jennie placed 29th out of 123 runners from around the country in the 13-year-old division.
All of the participants had to qualify to run in the event, according to a Lindbergh Schools news release.
Jennie has been training with the Lindbergh middle schools team for two years and was the team’s top runner in 2013, winning every local race last year, Coach Tom Gose stated in the release.
