Rose bush sale to benefit Lindbergh Marching Band

Everything’s coming up roses for the Lindbergh High School Marching Band, which has been invited to march in the Tournament of Roses Parade in January in Pasadena, Calif.

Now, the band wants to be sure that everything comes up roses for the community, as members will sell Knockout Rose Bushes to raise funds for the trip. The money raised will help to cover costs for transportation of the band and equipment, housing and more, according to a news release.

The Knockout Rose is a shrub rose endorsed by the American Rose Society.

The raspberry-colored bush is ever-blooming and low maintenance, the release stated. The bushes cost $20 each and orders must be placed by April 5.

Send orders and checks made payable to “Bandstanders” to: Rose Bushes, P.O. Box 270451, St. Louis, Mo. 63127. Roses must be picked up from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. May 1 or May 2 at Lindbergh High School, 4900 S. Lindbergh Blvd.
