Reader responds to letter from Mehlville School District superintendent

To the editor:

I read Mehlville School District Superintendent Eric Knost’s Nov. 1 letter complaining about Kate Martin’s recent letter to the Call.

Dr. Knost states: “I’ve made commitments to this community that I fully intend to keep.”

From where do these commitments originate? Are they his visions of the kind of school district he wants to reign over? Do they also match up with the community’s visions?

Does he know that the majority of the citizens in the district want tennis courts? Can the citizens afford his visions?

Dr. Knost says he wants to listen to our thoughts, concerns and suggestions. Good. And we are sharing with him what we think in this newspaper.
