An Oakville teen died earlier this week after falling from a cliff at Cliff Cave Park.

County Police said witnesses reported that 18-year-old Sean P. Contini was climbing down a rock wall on Sunday when he fell to the bottom of the cliff. He died later that day at St. Anthony’s Medical Center.

“Sean Contini was a senior and had been a student at (Oakville Senior High School) for his entire high school career,” Mehlville School District Superintendent Terry Noble stated in a news release. “Counselors are available at the school for students and staff in need. Please keep Sean’s family and friends in your thoughts during this difficult time.”

At press time, funeral arrangements were pending.
