‘Murder in the Wurst’ planned

Doldrums will be an affliction of the past for those who attend the Affton Center-Stage’s Dinner Theater Mystery production of “Murder in the Wurst,” written and directed by local resident Rob Corbett.

The hilarity will take place at the Royale Orleans Banquet Center, 2801 Telegraph Road, March 2, March 3, March 9 and March 10 with doors opening at 6:30 p.m. and a March 10 matinee with admission at 12:30 p.m., one half hour before the dinner-show.

It is left to the audience’s gray matter to deduce who in the “Women’s Ubiquitous Resource for Scandal and Twiddle-Twaddle” membership or guests have committed a crime. In a 1941 setting, members of the Wurst Ladies Association gossip their way through their dinner courses, not to mention countless bottles of “bubbly wubbly” for the purpose of dolling out the “Wurst Volunteer of the Year Award.” The raucous uproar is filled with scandalous accusations, shocking secrets revealed and an intense police investigation.

Audience members are invited to dress in their most elegant black-and-white attire.

The cost is $25 per person or $23 each for groups of 10 or more.

Reservations are required and can be made by calling (636) 349-6880.
