The Missouri Department of Transportation will host a public meeting Jan. 18 to share preliminary plans for improving safety along U.S. Route 61/67 at the intersections of St. Johns Church Road and Miller Road East in Arnold.
The open-house style meeting will be held from 4 to 6 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 18 at St. John’s Lutherna Church, 3517 Jeffco Blvd., 63010. In the event of inclement weather, the meeting will be held Jan. 25.
There will be no formal presentation. Members of the public can attend at any time during the scheduled time.
Proposed improvements include adding traffic signals and turn lanes to the intersections of Route 61/67 and St. Johns Church Road, and Route 61/67 and Miller Road East.
Engineers and planners will be available to discuss the designs and answer any questions.
The meeting will be held at St. John’s Lutheran Church, 3517 Jeffco Blvd., in Arnold. In the event of inclement weather, the alternate meeting date is Jan. 25.
The project is estimated to cost $1.5 million and is slated to begin June 2024, with expected completion in summer 2025.
