Lindbergh High School’s Reaching Adolescent Drivers and the Mehlville Fire Protection District last week sponsored a lifelike Mock Car Crash to share the dangers of drinking and driving with Lindbergh High students. The fire district staged a car crash on the baseball field. Students and staff heard a live 911 call and watched the drama unfold as paramedics, police, firefighters and ARCH Air Medical Service helicopter medics arrived, removed student victims and rescued the survivors. Victims and survivors were portrayed by LHS students. Above, MFPD firefighters remove the top of a wrecked car to extricate a victim during the Mock Car Crash on Sept. 21.
