The Department of Veteran Affairs will be hosting a Memorial Day program to remember and honor all military members who have served or are serving the nation at 10 a.m. Monday, May 27 at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetary, 2900 Sheridan Road.

Bus and tram transportation will be provided beginning at 8:30 a.m. on Memorial Day. Visitors can use either the Sheridan Road Metro Station lot or the Jefferson Barracks VA Medical Center for bus and tram transportation to the ceremony.

Due to very heavy traffic on Sheridan Road, visitors are strongly encouraged to use the Koch Road exit from Interstate 255 and park in the shuttle lots at the JB VA Medical Center. Signage on Koch Road will direct visitors to the purple and bronze lots near Buildings 53 and 54 at the VAMC.

For those who have loved ones interred in Columbarium C, Section 1MM, Section 1-OO and Section 1QQ, please use the parking lot east of Building 1 and the Fisher House located at the VAMC.

Shuttle vans will transport visitors directly to those specific sections. There will be assistance in gravesite locations at the administration building and throughout the cemetery.

Due to the large volume of visitors on Memorial Day, guests may choose to use the grave locator located at the website prior to their visit: http://gravelocator.cem.va.gov/.
