“Charlie is a wonderful student, taking honors and advanced classes while serving as an active community volunteer. With her family, Charlie volunteers each year for the Kids with Cancer Camp. She and her family have also volunteered with the St. Patrick Center’s Soup Kitchen,” MHS Guidance Counselor Joanna Van Der Tuin stated in a district news release. “Charlie is active in school as a class representative for Student Council, and she served as a Buddy last year for the Special Olympics Track and Field Event held in the spring at MHS.”

The Leaders of Tomorrow program was developed by the ILN to honor high school students for their achievements as positive role models; leadership qualities; positive citizenship in their schools and communities; and for being competent scholars with good attendance records. As a Leader of Tomorrow, Thierauf received a certificate of Achievement from the ILN.
