The Mehlville School District will host a meet and greet with its new superintendent July 27.
District residents can come out and meet Dr. Jeff Haug, Thursday, July 27 from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. at Oakville Elementary School, 2911 Yager Road.
From 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. the playground will be open for families to enjoy, and with icy cold treats served while supplies last. From 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. a traditional meet and greet will be held in the cafeteria.
Haug, whose first day was July 3, was hired in March after former Superintendent Chris Gaines announced he was retiring from the position after eight years at the end of June.
Haug comes to Mehlville from the Special School District of St. Louis, where he worked as chief operations officer. Before SSD, he worked in administrative roles in the Meramec Valley R-III School District and Hazelwood School District. He got his start in education as a teacher at St. Dominic High School and taught in the Ferguson-Florrisant School District.
