A man died after being shot during an “illegal transaction” gone wrong Saturday afternoon on a residential street in Concord.

Police in the Affton Southwest Precinct got the call for a shooting in the 5200 block of Tuscan Chase Court around 5:20 p.m. Saturday.

A man in his 20s, who has not yet been publicly identified, had been shot in his torso. He was taken to a local hospital and died overnight.

A woman, 27, and a man, 38, contacted police and have been taken into custody as suspects in the case.

The victim and the suspects knew each other, and they got into a dispute after the unspecified “illegal transaction.”

Shots were fired, and the victim was hit in the torso. Two guns were recovered from the scene.

It is the second year in a row that a man was found shot in that area of South County during a holiday. This time, it was Memorial Day weekend. Last year, a man was found shot along Lemay Ferry Road on the 4th of July.

The homicide investigation is being led by the St. Louis County Police Department’s Bureau of Crimes Against Persons.

Investigators are asking anyone with information to contact the St. Louis County Police Department at 636-529-8210.
