The Lindbergh School District will sponsor a reception next week for Superintendent Jim Sandfort, who is retiring after serving the district 17 years.
The reception for Sandfort, which is open to the public, will take place from 2:30 to 5:30 p.m. Tuesday, May 13, in the district auditorium, 4900 S. Lindbergh Blvd.
Sandfort, who has served as superintendent since 1991, has been involved in school administration for roughly 35 years.
He has the longest tenure in the same school district of any superintendent in St. Louis County.
