The Lindbergh High School Soccer Booster Club, as well as family, friends and teammates of LHS senior Wil Ohler, stood along South Lindbergh in the freezing rain Dec. 27, to promote a hot-chocolate stand fundraiser at LHS to raise money for Ohler’s cancer treatments. Ohler is an 18-year-old soccer player who was diagnosed with leukemia and recently had a bone marrow transplant. Ohler will be in the hospital for roughly 100 days, and various LHS groups, including Sappington Elementary Girls on the Run, hosted the fundraiser to help raise money for his medical bills. Volunteers sold hot chocolate in the Lindbergh High School parking lot and collected donations at the traffic light at the intersection. Photos by Erin Achenbach.
