The Cooperating School Districts of Greater St. Louis recently presented the prestigious Gold Star School Award to Crestwood Elementary School. Dan Dozier, center, left, superintendent of the Orchard Farm School District and president of the CSD Board of Directors, presented the award to Crestwood Principal Scott Taylor, center, right. They are joined, from left, by Lindbergh Superintendent Jim Simpson and Lindbergh school board members Vicki Englund, President Vic Lenz, Treasurer Kara Gotsch, Ken Fey and Secretary Don Bee. Crestwood is one of only eight high-performing elementary schools statewide to be named a 2011 Missouri Gold Star School award recipient. This is the second consecutive time Crestwood has received this prestigious honor. The first was in 2009, and schools only can be nominated every other year.
