Every year, thespians around the state gather for the Missouri Thespians conference, which took place from Jan. 8-10. Awards are passed out to deserving students and professionals for their artistry and accomplishments in the realm of theater.
This year, four Oakville High School students were honored at the conference. Jaina Mazdra earned a superior rating in the Short Film category, while Stella Kolb and Teagan Crecelius earned a superior rating in the Duet Musical category.

Meanwhile, Charley Ritter was selected to play the lead role in the 2027 Missouri All-State Production of “Blue Stockings,” which will take place at next year’s conference. She’ll perform in front of 3,000 people at the Stifel Theater.
“Blue Stockings” is a historical play that focuses on four women as they fight to receive their college degrees in a time when that was often denied to women.
