Fenton murder suspect arrested

The St. Louis County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office issued warrants Jan. 19 for Tony Hager, 22, who is accused of second-degree murder and armed criminal action.
The incident in question occurred Jan. 16 when St. Louis County Police officers from the West County Precinct responded to a call for service for a shooting in the 600 block of Greenhurst Court. Arriving officers located one adult male and a dog both suffering from apparent gunshot wounds. The victim, Austin Vines was transported to an area hospital for medical treatment but died as a result of his wounds. A preliminary investigation revealed the shooting occurred as the result of an altercation between individuals known to one another.
Hager is currently being held at the Ozark County Jail on a $250,000 cash-only, no 10-percent bond after two witnesses were able to identify him.
