As of Sept. 9, Cor Jesu Academy has raised more than $11 million toward its $13.1 million fundraising goal to construct a new outdoor sports facility.

“These young women are achieving at the highest levels,” Cor Jesu Academy Director of Institutional Advancement Brittany Peek Seabaugh said. “They deserve a campus that tells them that they are worth investing in.”

The project will include the construction of an eight-lane track, multipurpose turf stadium with lights, a dedicated softball field, eight new tennis courts, a reimagined turfed front field, press box, locker rooms, concessions, bathrooms and spectator seating.

This undertaking is intended to provide the all-girls private high school with space for physical education classes, student activities, school traditions and community events. It will also give Cor Jesu Academy athletes the chance to play on a home field, “reducing the need to travel to off-campus facilities.” The school currently offers 12 different sports.

Construction is expected to begin in November, with completion anticipated by summer 2027.

“Our girls deserve spaces where they can compete, celebrate, gather and belong,” Cor Jesu Academy President Susan Marie Krupp said. “We are investing in them and in the generations of young women who will follow.”
