A community workshop for Crestwood’s first-ever comprehensive plan will take place from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Monday, Nov. 2, at the Government Center, 1 Detjen Drive.
The Board of Aldermen recently hired Houseal Lavigne Associates of Chicago to create the city’s first-ever comprehensive plan.
Monday’s community workshop is the first of several outreach events scheduled throughout the process and is designed to allow residents to communicate their issues, aspirations and priorities regarding the community. The workshop will be made up of two parts:
A review of the purpose of the comprehensive plan, the planning process to be undertaken and the schedule for the study.
A community discussion on problems, issues and potentials in Crestwood.
City officials urge residents and those who work in Crestwood to attend.
A business workshop for the comprehensive plan will take place from 8 to 9:30 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 3, at the Government Center.
The business workshop is designed to discuss issues and challenges related to establishing, operating and growing a business in Crestwood. The workshop will help establish a dialogue and obtain feedback from those members of the business community who have unique insight and perspective, and whose assistance and involvement will be critical to implementation.
