The Great Rivers Greenway Life Outside Challenge is underway now through Oct. 15.
The challenge is a free way to enjoy new activities on the region’s 128 miles of greenway. There are 20 different eligible challenges and completing 10 or more can result in prizes, with a guaranteed prize pack for anyone who completes the 10. Five people will win a grand prize after the challenge ends.
More information, the complete list of challenges and the challenge form can be found at www.greatriversgreenway.org/life-outside/.
Great Rivers Greenway is also hosting a meet-up Saturday as part of the challenge. Stop by the Mississippi Greenway at Cliff Cave Park, 806 Cliff Cave Road, Oct. 1 from noon to 3 p.m. to enjoy free activities including cell phone nature photography, guided greenway walking tours, children’s book readings, yoga classes and nature crafts with Perennial.
“The goal of the Life Outside Challenge is to encourage people to get outside and discover new parks and greenways,” Anne Milford, Great Rivers Greenway communications coordinator stated. “Spending time in nature is a proven stress reliever. We want to remind people to take a break during the busy fall season and take advantage of the 128 miles of greenways in St. Louis city, St. Louis County and St. Charles County.”
