Letter to the Editor 

To the editor:

The Bible teaches, “Have nothing to do with the fruitless deeds of darkness, but rather expose them.” (Ephesians 5:11)

So why does the Catholic Church hide their pedophiles instead of turning them over to the civil authorities? Why? What is the motivation behind the cover-up?

This and other sexual immorality have been rampant for years, decades and even centuries. This is why Martin Luther left the church, because there was no hope for reform.

Is the answer found in Matthew 23:13-36? “You hypocrites! Your actions speak louder than words. Is the hierarchy totally corrupt?… On the outside you appear to people as righteous, but on the inside you are full of hypocrisy and wickedness.”

“Woe to the shepherds that only take care of themselves, but do not take care of the flock.” (Ezekiel 36:2-3)

Bottom line: The sheep are the ones who pay their price for your sins. You destroy their faith in Jesus and leave them behind, mentally and physically damaged, and worse yet, spiritually damaged.

You have replaced the truth that is revealed in the Bible and substituted your own “man-made religion” or traditions.
