The new Bass Pro Shops in Sunset Hills opens tomorrow.
Bass Pro Shops will celebrate the opening of its third St. Louis-area store May 3. The Bass Pro Shops Outdoor World store is located at the site of the former Toys “R” Us and The Tile Shop at 3600 S. Lindbergh Blvd.
The grand opening will take place over the course of five days, with a ribbon-cutting kicking off the festivities 6 p.m. Wednesday.
Local celebrities and notable names in the outdoor industry will be in attendance Wednesday, including former St. Louis Cardinals Manager Whitey Herzog and nine-time “Angler of the Year” Roland Martin. Others include:
- Four-time Bassmaster Classic winner and seven-time “Angler of the Year” recipient Kevin VanDam
- Hosts of “Thirteen and Bow Madness,” Drury Outdoors founders Terry, Mark and Matt Drury
Following the grand opening ceremony, all five will be available for meet and greet opportunities and autographs. PAW Patrol characters will also be onsite Wednesday to take pictures with children.
There will be limited-time deals and giveaways Wednesday and through the weekend. The store will be open for a limited time Wednesday following the grand opening celebration with normal business hours beginning Thursday.
The Sunset Hills Bass Pro is the third in the St. Louis region. The other two are a Bass Pro in St. Charles and a Cabela’s in Hazelwood.
