Assumption girls capture title

This Assumption sixth-grade girls’ soccer team brought home the title for the second consecutive year. The girls went undefeated this fall, beginning their year with a first-place win in the St. Margaret Mary Alacoque Soccer Tournament. The girls then went on to become South County Crusader Open Division Champions to earn their spot in the playoffs. They managed a 2-1 win against St. Ann-Normandy and a 3-0 victory against St. Joe-Manchester to make it to the finals against St. Alban Roe. They won the championship game 4-0 to become the 2013 Catholic Youth Council’s Open Division Archdiocesan Champions.
