Alumni discuss ‘Life After Affton’

Seventeen alumni returned to Affton High School last week to serve on a college panel speaking to current juniors and seniors about “Life After Affton.”

Representing 14 different colleges and universities — seven public and seven private — the undergraduate and graduate students fielded questions about their academic and extracurricular experience, according to a news release.

Topics for questions ranged from how classes are different in college than high school, what Greek life is like on campus, whether the college students missed home and what the process was like to transfer college credit gained from AP examinations.

Serving on the panel were, from the class of 2012: Matt Barth, Andrew Douglas, Stephanie Grant, Michelle Green, Nikki Griffin, Kyle Holtzman, Kara Klemp, Brittany Paglusch, Angela Paulick, Oscar Owens, Melissa Seabaugh, Taylor Shinabargar, Melissa Williams and Tyonna Williams; from the class of 2009: Nedim Novakovic and Dan Renaud; and from the class of 2010: Andrew Bliss.
