The Affton School District is one of the local school districts providing free grab-and-go meals during the extended school shutdown due to the coronavirus.

As of this week, meal service in Affton no longer requires signup and will extend to all children 18 years of age and younger in the community. Students do not have to qualify for free or reduced lunch in order to get the meals. The district will be opening eight grab-and-go locations throughout the district during the extended closure of schools, now lasting through the end of school in May.

Beginning Monday, April 6, service times are now Monday-Wednesday-Friday from 11:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m. Grab-and-go meals are served in a drive-thru style at each location; the district asks attendees to not get out of your car. Walk-ups are welcome.

A packaged breakfast and lunch will be served. Each day of meals will include breakfast and lunch: Monday (two days of meals); Wednesday (two days of meals); Friday (one day of meals).

Meals will be provided free of cost to any child 18 years of age or younger in the Affton community. No signup is needed.

Grab-and-go locations:

  • Affton High School (8309 Mackenzie Road, 63123)
  • Gotsch Intermediate (8348 S. Laclede Station, 63123)
  • Mesnier Primary (6930 Weber Road, 63123)
