Missouri’s first food truck garden in Affton, 9 Mile Garden, ended its 2021 season Nov. 30.

Events will continue on-site throughout the holidays.

On Dec. 11 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., there will be a market featuring locally made gifts for friends and family from dozens of participating vendors. Holiday shoppers will also get the opportunity to enjoy Christmas carols sung by the Vita Cantus Chorale adult choir, free photos with Santa, and Christmas movies playing all day.

There will also be a New Year’s Eve Cocktail Party at the Canteen Dec. 31 from 8 p.m. to 1 a.m. Event tickets are available for $60 per individual and $100 per couple and will include an open bar for the entirety of the event, a snack buffet, champagne toast and live music by The Frontenac Trio. The ball drop in Times Square will be live streamed from 8 p.m. to midnight.

The Canteen, the garden’s bar area, will remain open until the new season begins March 1. The Canteen will host happy hour from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m., featuring drink specials, and will regularly offer live music, fire pits and smores, trivia nights, karaoke, movie nights and more.

“It has truly been such a fantastic food truck season with some really amazing and dedicated truck owners,” said Brian Hardesty, managing partner of 9 Mile Garden. “We’re excited for everything the colder months have in store for us and our St. Louis community. The Canteen is the perfect holiday hangout and before you know it, the 2022 season will be starting up again.”
