Wonders how anyone can say ‘no’ to education

To the editor:
On Election Day, I was greeted by a gentleman who told me who I should vote for so my taxes won’t be raised.
What is this tax preoccupation anyway?
I can’t believe the Lindbergh School Dis-trict’s Proposition A didn’t pass. How can anyone say “no” to education?
As a 35-year teacher in Parkway, I know how much books, computers, etc. cost.
We can spend billions on an unnecessary war, but can’t spend the money needed for the best materials for the children. We can spend billions on a war, but people can’t have the medical care they need. I’m am concerned for our nation, our town.
