Wendy’s new ultra-modern design comes to south county

Customers will experience an ultra-modern new Wendy’s when they visit the new Wendy’s restaurant at 6925 S. Lindbergh Blvd.

The restaurant officially will open its doors at 10 a.m. Monday, Dec. 17. A ribbon-cutting ceremony with the South County Chamber is scheduled for 5 p.m. on opening day. Additionally, Wendy’s will honor the men and women of the Mehlville Fire Protection District, or MFPD, and Feed My People volunteers who work effortlessly each day to service south county, according to a news release.

Members of the MFPD and volunteers of Feed My People have received invitations to attend the ribbon-cutting ceremony as well as an offer for a free Wendy’s Combo Meal from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. when they present their invitation.

Wendy’s also will make a donation to Feed My People. Customers visiting the Lindbergh restaurant on opening day are encouraged to make a donation of their choice to Feed My People, the release stated. One-hundred percent of all donations collected will go directly to Feed My People.

“Dave Thomas, our founder, believed in ‘giving something back’ to the communities that we do business in, and we are honored to partner with these two outstanding organizations who do so much for the south county community,” Don Hurrell, Wendy’s Mid-South Division vice president, stated in the release

“The number of people coming into Feed My People for help is greater than ever this year so the demand is great and it is hard to keep enough food on our shelves, but it is because of the generosity of people in the community who reach out that allow us to continue our work here. Thank you for making a difference and for caring about those in need in our community,” stated Carol DeGuire, Feed My People founder and director.
