Planning Commission will hold hearing for South County-based zoning proposal

The St. Louis County Planning Commission will hear a proposal for a zoning change in South County at its public hearing Nov. 13.

The commission meets Monday, Nov, 13 at 7 p.m. in the County Council Chambers at the government center in Clayton, 41 S. Central Ave.

There is only one South County-based proposal on the agenda: A request by Scott Hortiz for a change in zoning from M-3 manufacturing to C-8 commercial on a 1.5 acre tract at 5807 Lemay Ferry Road. According to the meeting agenda, the proposed use is for offices, warehousing and vehicle services. The proposal would utilize the existing building on the property, which is a former Finishmaster Automotive & Industrial Paint shop. Hortiz’s proposal is in the 6th County Council District.

The commission will also hear four other proposals at the Nov. 13 meeting, all in the 4th County Council District.
