South County resident Audie Faulstich and Association Health Plan celebrate 41 years providing the Metro Area Health Insurance. Audie’s entrepreneurial experices were engrained in him at an early age from his father who owned a body shop on South Broadway. At the early age of 17, Audie opened a retail garden shop and maintained over 50 lawns in South St. Louis City and County as well as selling a variety of plants. It was a great experience and financially rewarding, but 4 years later working 7 days a week took its toll. I needed to find a job that was rewarding and a way to work smarter, not harder as in the garden business.

In 1980, I was fortunate to find employment with Farmers Insurance selling home and auto policies. Keeping independent spirit, I opened my own insurance company in 1982, Association Health Plan. I concentrated on health and life insurance for small groups and individuals. My wife, Diane, and I have worked together to grow our company into covering over 3000 people. I have been very fortunate to have a great clientele, employees and a supportive wife. We look forward to continuing our service for years to come.
