The Missouri Department of Transportation is hosting a public meeting Feb. 22 to share information about its upcoming project along Route 231 (Telegraph Road) from Franru Lane to the Meramec River.
The meeting will be held Thursday, Feb. 22 from 4 to 6 p.m. at the Cliff Cave Branch of the St. Louis County Library, 5430 Telegraph Road.
The project will update the signals along the corridor and sidewalks on the MoDOT right-of-way north of Christopher Drive, as well as rebuild the intersections at Sappington Barracks, Forder, Yeager, Baumgartner, Gebhardt and Blackforest.
Sections of sidewalk will also be connected, and the pedestrian route along the corridor will be updated to comply with Americans with Disabilities Act standards. Additionally, the roadway between Franru and the Meramec River will be resurfaced.
The project is projected to begin in mid-2025, with construction completed in fall 2025.
There will be no formal presentation at the Feb. 22 open house. Those interested in learning more can attend at any point during the meeting time to share their thoughts or concerns about the plan for the corridor. MoDOT engineers will be available to answer questions.
An online public comment form will also be available for those who can’t attend the meeting at www.modot.org/missouri-route-231-pavement-resurfacing-st-louis.
