The Bass Pro Shops in Sunset Hills, 3600 S. Lindbergh Blvd, is putting the finishing touches on its new store ahead of its grand opening sometime in May.
Bass Pro announced in August 2021 that it would open its third St. Louis location in Sunset Hills, taking over the space of the former Toys “R” Us and The Tile Shop.
Some of the main features of the Sunset Hills Bass Pro is an aquarium that will feature native fish and a large stone fireplace in the entryway.
In addition to selling the usual wares for outdoor activities, sports and hunting, the Sunset Hills Bass Pro will also offer on-site boat repairs and sales.
According to Paul Cox, the store’s general manager, the Sunset Hills location will employ over 100 full-time and part-time employees.
There are two other Bass Pro locations in the area — one in St. Charles that opened in 2001 and a Cabela’s in Hazelwood that opened in 2007.
