Two area state legislators will be hosting a joint town hall Thursday night in Affton to preview this year’s legislative session in Jefferson City.
Reps. Doug Beck, D-Affton, and Sarah Unsicker, D-Shrewsbury, will appear at the town hall from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 9, at the Affton Elks Lodge, 6330 Heege Road.
The pair of legislators will also host an opioid addiction presentation by Step Up St. Louis.
Members of the St. Louis County Police Department will be handing out gun locks.
Beck said in an email announcement of the meeting that he hopes “we can stand together as a community to take a lead in making positive changes across our great state!”
