The St. Louis County Library is inviting patrons to enhance your child’s reading skills with a Read & Play kit available for checkout from the library. The new kits are available for checkout curbside at any SLCL branch. Each kit contains books, an interactive activity and early literacy tips around a different theme, such as counting, colors and trains. Read & Play kits are recommended for ages 2-6, and can be checked out for two weeks. More information is available at www.slcl.org/kids/read-play-
St. Louis County Library offers a variety of resources for families to encourage reading and a love of learning starting at birth with the Born to Read program, which provides newborns with a free book and their first library card before leaving the hospital.
Parents can access additional support through programs such as 1000 Books Before Kindergarten and Virtual Story Time. More info about early literacy resources at SLCL can be found at www.slcl.org/early-literacy.
