SMM Eighth-graders receive Marian Award
On March 30, 14 girls from St. Margaret Mary received the Marian Award at the Cathedral Basilica. They were: Alyssa Herrera, Erin Moriarity, Nina Pentino, Julie Prose, Kelly Sheehan, Mary Staten, Jenny Straszacker, Angela Bubash, Claire Delargy, Molly Karcher, Katie Moorman, Kristen Neely, Lindsey Phlipot and Elizabeth Schaeffer.
This is a religious award about Mary, the Mother of God. It requires studying, a service project, and developing a book about Mary. Sponsors said the girls should be so proud to have completed the work.
