Lauren Schmitz, daughter of Janice and Jim Schmitz of Oakville, and Alex McMullen, son of Diane and Ronald McMullen of Godfrey, Ill., announce their engagement and forthcoming marriage.
Schmitz, of Oakville, is a graduate of the University of Missouri-Columbia with a bachelor of science degree in education. She is employed by Valley Park School District of Valley Park as a seventh-grade teacher.
Her fiance, McMullen, is a graduate of St. Louis College of Pharmacy, where he earned a doctorate of pharmacy degree. He is employed by Walgreens of St. Louis as a pharmacist.
The couple plan a June 15 wedding at St. Andrew Catholic Church in Lemay.
