The Green Park Board of Aldermen unanimously approved the appointment of Ryan Massey to its newly vacant Ward 3 seat on June 15. He will serve the remainder of the unexpired term until the next regular municipal election in April 2027.
Massey is replacing Karl Lambrechts, whose resignation from the seat was publicly announced at the board’s May 18 meeting — less than one month after being appointed to the position left vacant due to Joe Monteleone’s successful run for mayor.
Not only did Lambrechts step down from his aldermanic seat last month, but also his seat on Green Park’s Planning and Zoning Committee, which he has held since 2024. The reasoning behind Lambrechts’ resignation has not yet been made available.
