To the editor:

It’s time to take matters into our own hands by using the power of the purse.  The only way to get the attention of our politicians to combat the crime wave we are being subject to, is to refuse any and all tax increases and bond issues.

As an example, there is a up coming vote to increase the tax on marijuana sales  by 3 percent in unincorporatated St. Louis County. Wouldn’t our politicians love to get this extra money!

Send them a message:  We are tired of the “catch and release” of criminals; we are frightened for our families from shootings and car jackings.

The library district, school districts —put pressure on the politicians because nothing will get passed until we have safe neighborhoods.
