Chellis endorses Jim Murphy for District 94 Missouri House race

To the editor:
I knew Cloria Brown. Cloria Brown was a friend of mine. Jim Murphy is no Cloria Brown… But he is the next best thing.   In fact, shortly before her death, Cloria Brown endorsed Jim Murphy for her seat as State Representative for the 94th District.
I know Jim Murphy as a good husband, father and, now, grandfather.  I know him also as a strong community leader and as a hard worker and tireless volunteer. Jim has been a taxpayer’s advocate and has been involved with the Mehlville School District, both as a friend and as a critic when necessary. Jim has also run a successful small business.  We are fortunate that his wife Maryellen now runs the day-to-day operation of the business and Jim can devote his time, talent, and experience to representing us in Jefferson City.
Jim has been endorsed by many other Republicans including Jim Lembke, Eric Schmitt, Will Kraus and former state Reps. Walt Bivins and Carl Hendrickson.  I’m proud to endorse Jim Murphy as well.
On Tuesday, Aug. 7, I would encourage the people of District 94 to choose a Republican primary ballot and vote for Jim Murphy.
